Snap Power USB Charger

You know a product is a great idea when a couple of pictures describe the entire concept.

With that in mind, we have all seen wall outlet USB chargers before, but the SnapPower product, in my opinion, may rule them all.

The design is clever. Installation is ultra-easy. Accessibility supersedes most other solutions currently available.

Take a second and just look at it:

In my mind there are three things which make this a brilliant wall charger. If you do not mind me walking you through the obvious, here we go.

Or skip the highlights and jump right over to

their website
.

The design is brilliant. The user keeps both outlets available for normal use while a sleek-looking USB port is added underneath. At the time of this article there is one USB socket, but visiting their website shows two sockets, one on either side. They are constantly improving the product line.

Installation is very easy. Simply unscrew your current faceplate and replace it with the SnapPower faceplate. You can see from the picture below the screws used on the outlet behind the faceplate are what provide the power for the SnapPower USB port. They have a patent on this design, so it is definitely a fresh idea.

I think the final point on why this USB charger is the end-all, be-all solution is the slim design.

Take a look at the image below. We have probably all been in this situation before. The bulky square charger from Apple requires too much room when trying to tuck the charger into a socket behind a dresser or piece of furniture.

If you think about it, with all the design geeks at Apple, you would have thought they had a better solution from the start.

From the

SnapPower.com

website, it appears a single USB faceplate is $16 and the two-port version is $19. They also have some very nice-looking LED faceplates which are probably worth ordering as well.

They ship globally… and no, this is not a sponsored post. Just sharing the information for those willing to read it.
